What does freedom mean to you? What is the relationship between your freedom and the safety of others? Throughout history societies have been asked to sacrifice for the greater good. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to shutter our businesses and remain socially distanced from one another. Many are fed up with their states stay-at-home orders and are calling the measures fascist. One prominent businessman, Elon Musk, is leading the call to, “Free America.” Is this a good idea? Do we as citizens have a duty to protect the most vulnerable among us, even if it means temporarily giving up some freedom to do it?
